Is this the greatest viking treasure ever found with a metal detector? I do not know, but at least I am jealous. This treasure from the viking Harald "Bluetooth" Gormsson era was found by the 13-year-old Luka Malashnichenko and Rene Schön on the island of Rugen, Germany in 2018. They found bracelets and necklaces, buckles and rings, many pearls, about 600 silver coins. Many of them feature legendary Danish King Harald “Bluetooth” Gormsson, which makes it possible to determine the age of artifacts to the second half of the tenth century.
I also talk about the history of Harald "Bluetooth / Blåtand" Gormsson, how he got his nickname, the curmsun disc, jelling runestone and the bluetooth technology. Hope you like this kind of educational video and if you do hit that Like button.
